Wessin Soldier
I hoped we'd grow old together, my friend. It wasn't meant to be, unfortunately. Cancer stole you from me in the most heinous way - my heart will never heal from losing you. I think of you every day - keep you alive in my heart till we can snuggle again in the hereafter. Your six short, wonderful years on this earth changed my life forever. Losing you changed it even more. I will miss your toilet water kisses every day of my life.

Winston

Thank you for allowing us to rescue Winston July 2011. We have loved every minute with this crazy, sweet, and lovable boy. He will forever be in our hearts and leave a hole in our family.

Wolften "Woofie"
Our dear Woofie, we miss you so much! We found you abandoned on a deserted country road in 1996. You wanted help so badly that you came right over to us and jumped in the car. You were only about six months old at the time, according to the Vet. The first few times that we took you in the car with us, you were shaking and scared....I suppose you were worried that we were going to just drop you off somewhere, which is what most likely had happened to you before we found you. Then you gradually trusted that we were not going to abandon you and you started loving rides in the car, especially when you knew we were going to the hot dog place! Yummy! You had such as sweet and loving nature. You never barked unless someone rang the door bell. You were protective in the perfect way, yet friendly to everyone and to all the other animals we had. You let our kitties lay next to you and play with you and you were very nurturing to our other dog s that passed away of old age before you. You were truly a one of a kind dog with soulful eyes, high intelligence, and a warm heart. You would probably still be with us had it not been for the freak accident when you jumped into the car for your daily ride last November (2009). You were so excited to go for your walk in the park and to the hot dog place that you misjudged your jump into the car and hit your shoulder on the edge of the seat and your chin on the steering wheel. When you fell back onto the ground your yelp was so heart wrenching that we knew you were badly hurt. We rushed you to the Vet and after 5 hours there, we knew we had to let you go. The Vet said that you must have ruptured a disk in you neck. I'm so sorry you had the accident Woofie. You had been feeling like a puppy again after the Vet had prescribed the joint supplement just a month earlier at your annual checkup. You didn't realize that you were 14 years old because your body was feeling so good again....it's just that because of your old age, your timing was off. It has been eight months since you left for the Rainbow Bridge. I hope you are there playing with Rosie and Daisy. Please tell them we love and miss them and know that we love and miss you dearly! We will see you again someday! We do not have anymore dogs now but if there ever comes a time that we want another family companion, we know that you, Rosie and Daisy will guide us to just the right one. please know that no dog could ever take your place...you were very special. We love you forever and will always miss you.....Your Family.
