Pebbles is a beautiful German Shepherd with a lovely personality. She is friendly, easy to handle and has a gentle temperament. She's roughly 4 years old and ~ 70lbs. She's fully vetted including spayed, vaccines, microchip and is heartworm negative! She is on monthly flea/tick/heartworm prevention and daily Dasuquin for preventive care.

Like most GSD's, they LOVE their people and Pebbles is no different! She is naturally loyal, likes to stay close to her handler and looks for approval. She likes car rides and is happy to tag along for any road trip - even if it's just a short ride to Starbucks for a pup-cup!

Pebbles has a medium energy level. She likes playing fetch and is good about bringing the ball back (and dropping it!) and also likes chasing the flirt pole. She loves going for walks and overall has good leash manners. She loves toys off all shapes and sizes, but squeaky toys/balls are her favorite and she will happily entertain herself with a basket of toys. She's laid back and is past the wild puppy age, but still requires daily mental & physical stimulation.

She's housebroken & crate trained. She is food motivated and presents great eye contact. She knows a couple basic commands, but willing to learn more. She always gets a frozen peanut butter Kong or bone to occupy her when her foster mom leaves for work. She like all different bones to chew on but anything edible is what she prefers. ☺️

Pebbles does wonderfully with dogs and has a good "middle of the pack" attitude. She hasn't reacted towards a dog that is being too pushy - she will usually walk away to keep the peace or mouth lick to show appropriate submission. She gets silly playful with puppies, only if they can handle her size. She will entice a game a chase and wants to be chased as well. She has good social ques and greets with a happy, balanced "propeller" wag. She's mostly been around medium to large size dogs (50+lbs), she maybe too much for an insecure small breed to handle - unless they're confident and already well-socialized.

Pebbles has been tested with cats. She clearly feels insecure around them and doesn't like them in her direct space. She doesn't go out of her way to chase, but she will grumble and may nip at them if they come too close. For all around safety we feel a cat-free home is best.

An ideal forever home for Pebbles, would be a quieter household with a well-matched dog sibling(s) or she would be fine as an only dog. She will do ok and is gentle enough for a first time GSD owner, but breed experience is always appreciated. She hasn't been tested with kids, but we feel she would do ok with older "dog savvy" children/teens (ages 10+). A fenced yard is a nice feature since she does like to explore and sunbathe on nice days, but it's not a deal breaker. She does fine with a 4ft chain link and has not attempted to jump or escape. She doesn't like to stay out too long by herself, she will sit by the door and may whine to let you know she's ready to come back inside.

Every dog has their story:
We don't know too much about Pebbles past besides that she had been a momma more than once. We're assuming that she was being used for breeding, but not by a licensed/registered breeder. The previous owner had given her (and her mate) to someone that was unable to care for them and then she was surrendered to a rescue volunteer. Since then the male had been adopted and Pebbles is patiently waiting to find a forever home. We would consider a foster home or foster-to-adopt situation - she is currently staying with an in-home boarding foster. Please consider meeting this sweet, beautiful lady, she is eager for her turn to be loved and spoiled! ❤️
