SARGE ~3.5 years old. Not good with kids. Dogs and cats TBD.

Greetings friends, my name is Sarge and I am in search of my forever family! I am a rather large boy, and I am about 3 1/2 years old.
I am a gorgeous very traditional shepherd, at least, according to my foster mom. I am probably between 80-90 lbs. I am a little aloof when I first meet people but once I get to know you I’m much more affectionate. I am a very good example of the breed. I am always on alert and checking my surroundings.
I came from a shelter, so not much is known about my background. For the first two weeks in my foster home I was confused and very distant and disengaged, but now that I’m more comfortable, I love to get attention and try hard to please.
I enjoy being around other dogs and approach them calmly with a wag of my tail to let them know I want to be friends, but I am not overbearing.
I am housebroken and crate trained, and I am a relatively quiet boy.
The shelter did note that when I was surrendered by my prior owner, it was stated that I was not good with children. The prior owner did mention that they tried several times to work with me on that, but that I am just not fond of kids. So I must go to an adult only home.
I am trying to figure out what to do with the tennis ball. If you throw it, I will run and chase it and pick it up but I haven’t quite figured out how to bring it back.
I know that once you meet me you will fall in love with me. I just need you to be a little patient while i learn to relax in my new home, and when I do I’m a happy boy, with lots of tail wags, and eager to engage and get head rubs and pets.
Looking forward to meeting you!
Sarge
