Our family adopted sweet Fonzie from the local animal shelter. He is a very sweet boy and loves other dogs. He is interested in cats, but will respect their space a head their warning. He is crate trained and will sleep in an area all night with no noise. He is house trained as well, but when he gets excited he will pee a little which is why I keep a belly band on him when he is inside. We have a fenced in yard that he loves to run around and play with the other two dogs. He is a little rougher with the two which can stress them out a bit. He also is very nervous around my significant other who is tall, big and has a beard. The two sentences prior are the reasons we need to rehome him. I feel like he has a better chance with me finding him a home rather than going back to the animal shelter. He is up to date on shots, he received his last shot yesterday so he is not due for another year. He was heartworm tested by the shelter and is negative. They gave him Ivermectin and I will be putting him on Simparica Trio. His next dose is not due until Aug, 17. He was neutered on July 21st and recovered well. He does have a bacterial infection which he is currently on antibiotics for. He is also microchipped. We will be able to give you all that information along with his vet records and I have been keeping that all together. We have done a breed test on him and are awaiting the results which we can share with you once we have them. He is definitely a German shepherd mix. He may have poodle in him due to his coat. I have groomed him as when he came home he needed it. So he does have very short hair at the moment. When we first got him his hair was really long. I am unsure of how he is with young children. My son is 21. He knows basic commands like sit and down. He would benefit from training. He is currently eating proplan large breed. We love him and hate to do this but, he is uncomfortable around my significant other which is unfair to him. Please reach out to me and we can discuss a meet and greet as well as other information. Thank you!
