German Shepherd Dog : : Male (neutered) : : Young
ROCKY ~8 months old. Good with larger dogs and older, considerate kids. Not good with cats. Requires fenced yard.
Hi, I’m Rocky and I’m 8 months old. I'm going to be a pretty big boy when I grow up and I have a plush coat. I am very affectionate and my foster mom says she should have named me Shadow because I follow her everywhere. I am very curious and like to put my nose into everything and inspect stuff.
I have lots of puppy energy and enjoy running and playing with my foster pack. I’m a bit timid meeting new people and learning to socialize. Once I get to know you, I’m very loving and affectionate. I’m a quick learner and doing really great with my training. I will do anything for a treat and enjoy my training sessions. I walk great on a leash and enjoy my daily walks. I would be OK with a big sister or brother to learn from and play with. I’m not a big fan of cats, they look like fun things to chase, so no cats please.
I would also be OK as an only dog with someone who works from home and is active. I have puppy energy so I like walks and to visit with other dogs and have play dates. I enjoy going to doggie daycare and have made lots of friends there. I do not like dog parks. And I'm too energetic for small dogs.
Since I am still learning about people and the world, I would like my new parents to have owned a German shepherd or large breed dog so they will understand me and what I need. I am still learning and will need to continue my training and socialization. And, I really want a fenced in yard so I can run and play in.
I am neutered, up to date on vaccines and on monthly heart worm preventative. I am crate, obedience and leash trained.
