AVA ~4 years old. Good with older, considerate kids and cats. Not good with dogs.

Are you looking for A Very Amusing sheppie? How about A Very Affectionate sheppie? If you answered “YES” to these questions, then you are looking for AVA!

Did you think that all German Shepherds are serious and "the fun police"? Then AVA will change your mind. This four year old female is such a clown. She will happily amuse herself with a toy or ball - one of her favorite things to do is raid the "toy box" and help herself to whatever seems most fun at the time. She enjoys nothing more than following her human from place to place and "helps" as much as you will let her. But when you are ready to call it a day and snuggle up on the couch, she will be right there with you, settled in for a binge watch of your favorite show.

She is housebroken and crate trained - she will quietly go to bed each night in her crate, and you won't hear a peep out of her. She walks decently on a leash and will go as far as you'd like - around the block or miles on a trail. She likes to hang out in the backyard but prefers to be wherever you are. If you are retired or work from home, that would be her ideal human.

Ava should be fine with dog-savvy cats with a slow introduction - she seems to have no prey drive. She would also do fine with older, considerate children. However, she prefers to be the only dog in the house - other dogs are just not her jam. And no dog parks or doggie day care for this sweet girl. But believe me, she has enough personality for twelve dogs - you won't be missing a thing with just Ava in your home.
