Apollo was born in October 2012 and was purchased just days old by my grandfather. My grandfather worked for NASA and worked on the Apollo program and that is how Apollo got his name. In retirement, my grandfather farmed and Apollo went everywhere with him on the farm. Unfortunately, about 2.5 years after getting Apollo, my grandfather developed dementia and passed away a few months later. In the meantime, I took care of him and eventually adopted him. At the time I was single then met my soon to be wife and Apollo went everywhere with us; on trips, to sporting events that my wife and I coached at (we are both teachers at the high school level), the beach, the mountains, car rides, you name it. He has always done really well around people and kids (especially ours), but I have to honest, he never really was properly socialized around other animals, dogs especially. My wife and I did take him to a trainer and he did get better but we simply did not have the time or opportunities (being around others with dogs) to continue his socialization. He has been a mostly indoor dog, however in the past year we have had to transition him to an outdoor dog, which honestly, he gets more exercise and seems to be happier. In all that time period, my wife and I have had three children. With each child, Apollo receives less and less time and attention from us. We want to be fair to him and provide him with a family that will continue to love and care for him just as we have.

PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS NOT A GSRA DOG. ONLY CONTACT THIS INDIVIDUAL ABOUT THIS DOG. THE CONTACT HAS NO AFFILIATION WITH GSRA AND GSRA CANNOT ANSWER QUESTIONS ABOUT THIS DOG.
