TIMBER ~ 3 years old. Good with Dogs. Kids and cats TBD. Needs a companion animal. GSRA adopts to residents of VA, NC, and SC only. Be Still My Heart! Can this be true? Is this handsome boy really looking for a furever home? Well, my friends, it’s true. Timber is a 3-year-old who still has a lot of puppy in him. Now, I don’t mean the puppy stage of chewing everything in sight lol but the playful part of being a puppy. I guess after living most of his life on a chain he is ready to make up for lost time. In case you didn’t guess, Timber loves to play. He loves playing with his toys, fetch (and he actually brings it back some of the time), his foster canine Lea, and people. This boy loves going for walks and exploring life. He rides well in the car. He can be a bit mischievous and pick up a rug, towel, etc to get your attention to play with him but he doesn't destroy them. We are working to teach him that these are not toys but it’s hard to correct because he is so adorable. He actually has free reign in the house 24/7 with my pup and does very well. Timber is very loving and affectionate but he can be a little mouthy when he is playing and will sometimes jump up on you. We are working on this and he is learning nicely but he will need someone who will continue to work to with him. Because of this, it is best that his home not have small children. Even though I haven't had him around kids, with his personality, I think he would do well with them. Because of his playful energy, he will do best in a home with an active family, a playful companion, and a fenced yard. Does this sweet boy sound like the one you’ve been looking for?
