WYATT is a very playful, loving, sweet, active boy who was rescued from a home with too many pets. The vet estimates his age to be 3.5 – 4 years old. He weighs about 80 lbs. but could stand to gain a few pounds. (We are working on that, much to Wyatt’s delight!)

He loves to play with toys, balls and play fetch (still working on the release part). He gets along well with small dogs and with non-dominant larger dogs. He gets so excited when he sees another dog that he wants to play with, that the other dog may not understand that he just wants to play. After playtime, he settles well in the house. He would do well in an active household either as an only dog or with another dog who does not try to dominate him.

Wyatt has good manners – he walks well on a leash, sits for treats and lays by my side when I am working (most of the time). If he doesn’t feel like he’s getting enough attention or that I’m working to hard, he will let me know that it’s time for a play break.

Wyatt is up-to-date on all vaccinations. Unfortunately, he has tested positive for heartworms, however, he is starting treatment. He will go to his adoptive home after completing heartworm treatment.

Please contact me if you would like some more information about this special boy who deserves his forever home.
