DAKOTA ~3 years old.  Good with older considerate kids, dogs, and cats.

GSRA adopts to residents of VA, NC, and SC only

Dakota is a big, loving, goofy girl. She loves a ball and to play. Dakota tries to play with her foster sister but the sister will only play when she feels like it. Dakota knows to leave her alone if she doesn't want to play but it doesn't hurt to try! She knows sit and wait for her food. She knows to wait to go outside and to get a leash on. Her leash manners are ok and could use a little work but for the most part she does pretty well. She is a little underweight right now but the vet says an ideal weight is 90 lbs. Dakota does have severe skin allergies and some eye issues. The allergies are getting better with the right food and medication. She was missing a lot of hair when she was found by animal control but it is growing back now and she is doing much better. The eyes we are still working on the issues and Dakota is scheduled to see a specialist.
Even with her issues she is a wonderful dog. She is crate trained and does well with my 2 cats. She has not chased or been aggressive with the cats. Dakota loves a good belly rub and will come to you and lay her head in your lap looking for love. She has her moments where she wants to run around and play but will then settle in nicely. If you are looking for a giant lovebug then Dakota is your girl!
