German Shepherd Dog / Mixed : : Male (neutered) : : Young
Fabian ~8 months old. Good with older children, dogs and cats. When you first see Fabian, you are struck by his long, powerful legs. Next, you notice his big head and beautiful white and black markings. No, Fabian might not be a classic looking GSD, but he has the heart of a shepherd and that's all that matters. Fabian was born 8 months ago into the rescue after GSRA took in his very pregnant Momma. All his brothers and sisters have since been adopted but Fabian is still waiting for that special home that will love him for the fun-loving boy that he is. Since he has been raised in the rescue we know EVERYTHING about him. For instance, we know that he has been raised with the perfect combination of love and obedience so that he has wonderful manners and is a polite pup when out in public. He has had numerous canine foster sisters and brothers and so has learned doggie social manners like a champ. Fabian has been to numerous GSRA get togethers and is the perfect gentleman. He loves to play and romp around, but is also intuitive when other dogs aren't so sure about other dogs. He really has great self-confidence for such a young dog and is a wonderful companion to his 4 year old human foster sister. He even gets along with cats!!! Talk about an all-round great boy!!! Fabian sleeps in his crate at night without a peep, but isn't so keen about staying in one all day. He actually does well left loose in the house without supervision but can't be left alone too long as he tends to get the "nibbles" and likes to chew on things (he is only 8 months old, so this isn't totally unexpected.). At the end of the day though, Fabian is ALL about snuggling with his humans. In fact, one of his most favorite thing is to cuddle up with his little human foster sister while she falls asleep.
Fabian is an absolute gem of a dog and whoever adopts him will be a very lucky person or family. Fabian is the kind of dog that families talk about long after they have passed on. His happy-go-lucky personality, with his love for all creatures big and small, make him a joy to be around. If you are looking for a furry addition for your home, look no further than this boy. He may not be all GSD, but what he is is all heart and southern charm!
