ELI ~3-5 years old.  Good with dogs and cats.  Kids TBD.

GSRA adopts to residents of VA, NC, and SC only

Eli is a young adult 3-5 yo who was picked up as a stray so nothing is known about his prior life, when picked up he was suffering from extreme hair loss and needed to gain significant weight. What we do know is that Eli is a friendly, calm boy who is gradually learning to play with toys and interact with other dogs and relax in his safe surroundings. His hair is growing back nicely after being diagnosed and treated for a yeast infection. He is a good car rider, crate trained, house trained and a good leash walker but care needs to be taken - Eli considers any moving critter as something to chase while out and about. He has been living with large and small, young and older dogs and been fine with each personality. He appears to be somewhat submissive but may respond if a dog acted aggressively towards him. He loves to be with his humans and does not understand why a door is closed to stop him from herding them. He is relatively quiet but will respond to barking neighbor dogs. If you are looking for an easy going guy who just wants to be with you always then Eli could be the one for you. In his forever home Eli would do best with a fenced yard and no dominant male dogs. He has passed a cat test but would most likely chase a cat if it ran. He would be fine with children - more humans = more love for Eli. Eli is enjoying his new foster life and can’t wait to have a family of his own
