Hi everyone, my name is Balto, I was found as a stray and turned in to a very nice shelter where the people cared for me, but the noise of lots of barking dogs made me very scared so I spent most of my time hiding under the shelf in my kennel trying to feel safe. The shelter workers asked GSRA if they could help get me out and yay for me they said yes!! After I got out of the scary shelter my foster mom found out that I actually love to play with other dogs and am a silly, happy boy. I am still a little scared of new people but give me a little time to get comfortable with you and I’ll come up and say hello and ask for some love.
From Balto’s foster: Balto is a bundle of energy wrapped up in a small body, most of which is fluffy white fur. If you are looking for a pup to keep you entertained and a permanent smile on your face then this is the guy for you. He will be the life of any dog party who loves to jump over other dogs, under dogs, wrestle and chase. He is shy around new people and it takes a little while for him to be confident enough to allow you to touch him, for that reason he must have a playful, confident companion in his forever home - he completely relies on other dogs to know what to do and how to react. He is house trained, crate trained and walks well on leash. He is submissive and his behaviors are very puppy like. He is quiet and generally only barks/whines when copying his foster siblings. He will require a fenced yard-(4ft is okay). Good with male and female dogs, large and small. Good with cats. Check out the video to see Balto playing with his big foster brother.
