We are in need of a loving and experienced dog family who can adopt a purebred sister pair of 7-year-old German Shepherd Dogs, Ava and Liz. My father has dementia, and he was removed from his home recently and he will be going to a long-term care facility. There is no one to care for the dogs. He adopted them as puppies and took excellent care of them. They are spayed and were up-to-date on vaccines and preventatives until late 2023 when his health declined. The dogs have not been routinely walked on a leash and will need basic training. They have not been exposed to other animals or children other than briefly last summer. They are not aggressive but need help teaching them manners. The dogs are house trained and were kept partially indoors and partially in a fenced yard.
