SHEBA ~2 years old. Good with kids and large dogs. Not good with cats or small dogs.

GSRA adopts to residents of VA, NC, and SC only.

Sweet Sheba came to the rescue after she kept escaping her family’s yard. She was picked up by animal control and the family surrendered her to the shelter.

Fast forward a few weeks and Sheba is now settling in her foster home. She is crate trained, reliable free roam, LOVES a car ride, is a good leash walker but does have an extremely high prey drive which can cause her to dart off in pursuit of whatever she sees that moves. She is fine with larger dogs after slow introductions but is more of a companion and hasn’t really interacted with the other dogs so far.

Sheba is quiet in the house and loves being with her people. She would do well as an only dog. No cats or small dogs due to her prey drive. She needs a fenced yard because this girl loves to run. Due to her prior escape issues she will need a family with someone home more often than not, she isn’t the type of dog that would enjoy being left by herself all day while her humans are at work.

Sheba is a fluffy, petite girl who has no problem going up to strangers to say hello. She doesn’t jump or mouth and takes treats gently. More testing is needed but she is likely good with children.
