We adopted Athena about two years ago. She is everything her profile said she was--intelligent, well-mannered, well-trained and GORGEOUS! She adjusted well to our family, and has become a family member as if she has always been here. She is completely devoted to us, and in turn, she gets all the love and attention we can possibly give her. She has the traditional, beautiful Shepherd markings, which makes her a great babysitter in the backyard. She guards our children like they are her own; and then once inside, turns into a great big cupcake! She is so very sweet. She has become a wonderful "mother" to our new Golden Retriever puppy. We are so happy we were able to adopt her. We love her so much, and can't imagine not having her; we could not have asked for a better dog. We continue to tell everyone who compliments her that we got her from the GSD Rescue Center, and to please consider adopting!
