~Ace - 8 months old.  Good with older considerate children and dogs.  Cats TBD.  Needs a companion animal.

Hi!!!  My name is Ace!!! I’m so excited to be here!!!  Well, I’m a puppy, and I’m excited to be everywhere.

I’m a little bit of a mommy’s boy and would be a really good daddy’s boy, too.  I love having foster siblings and would be very happy with at least one in my fur-ever home, but the more the merrier.  If my new fur-ever home did not have any other doggies, I think I’d be okay if I had at least one human that was all mine, and I could be their BFFF (best furry friend forever).  I would just need a lot of play dates with furry friends to remember how to play well.  I am very trusting, and foster mommy says we will need to be careful when I meet a new dog because I may not understand them right away and might be a bit relentless if I want to play.

I am completely potty trained (since I was only about five weeks old) and I think I am very smart.  Foster mommy agrees, but says that my stubbornness can get me into trouble.  I don’t know what being stubborn means, but as long as I’m good at it, I’m happy.  I already know how to sit and go in to my crate all on my own!  I also know my own name already, so whenever I hear my foster mommy call me, I go running to her.  She gives me a treat to tell me I’m a good boy!

Other than eating, my favorite thing to do is play with my foster siblings and friends.  After I’ve tired them all out, my next favorite thing to do is chew, so I always have plenty of toys and rawhides around.  I will chew on anything, but once foster mommy tells me “no” and gives me something I can chew on, I never chew on the “no thing” again.  I’m smart like that!

My coat is short and I do not shed a lot. It’s also very soft, which I think helps me get more hugs and kisses!  The color is changing all the time.  When I was little, my face was all black, but now it is just more on my nose, with little “angel wings” by my eyes (which foster mommy calls devil horns when she says I’m being stubborn).  I’ve got a little bit of the GSD black stripe down my back, and my tail is getting a little darker now, too.  I don’t know exactly what I will look like, but I know I will be handsome!

Foster mommy says I’m the perfect puppy.  Very smart, know the basic commands, and still cute and cuddly!  Even though I still have all my puppy energy, I know how to nap when the other dogs do, and sleep through the night.  If you think you may have the time and energy to keep teaching me new things, maybe I could be your BFFF?
