(~ 1 1/2 year old) Good with older considerate children and dogs. Cats TBD

Hey Y'all! My name is Merlin and I am one of the happiest guys you'll ever meet!  Take a look at my pictures, I'm always smiling! When my momma says say "Cheese" I ham-n-cheese it up! I am a young boy but I have all the basics covered. I'm potty and crate trained, and I know how to sit, stay, down, shake and tell you what I want! By tell, I mean when I need to go outside (where I LOVE to play) I'll come right up to you and bark at you! My momma says "go tell your daddy" and I run to him and bark and he let's me right outside! I do have what my momma calls a "problem" (I don't quite see it that way) if momma or daddy put me in the backyard with my foster brother Murdock, and forget to tell me to stay, it is my sworn duty to clear the yard of any intruders...i.e. Birds, squirrels, momma's chickens etc. And if they happen to be outside the fence, I climb right over it after them and sometimes end up too close to the road or a few houses down! So momma says I'm gonna need a yard with a tall wooden fence! I am very shy when I meet new people. I will come right into your comfort zone but if you approach me I shy away quickly. My momma has been trying to get me out of the house and into new situations where I can become more of a social butterfly but since I'm so shy it's not a good idea for me to live with a small child with lots of bouncyness! I mean, I like kids but little ones...they make me really nervous, I try hard to be brave but I'm really a scaredy-cat! If you let me, and sometimes even when I'm not actually invited I'll climb right up in your lap! I love to snuggle so if my forever family is snugly, that would be perfect!!!!! I am best buddy's with my foster brother and get along well with both big and small dogs. I don't have cats at my house but if my new home does... because I am so smart and obedient I'm sure I'll be nice if you tell me to! Momma says I'm one of the smartest pups she's fostered for the GSRA and she's had quite a few foster pups! I'm really hoping to find my forever home soon because I've been a foster since December! If you choose me, I promise to be your best friend for as long as we both shall live!!!!!
