Feeling a bit chilly this winter? Invest in a lap warmer! Comes with loyalty, friendship, and lots of kisses! This big, beautiful boy, Oscar, will keep you warm all winter long! Oscar's only goal in life is to be as close as possible to his best friend and making sure his owner is never low on doggie kisses! He is the biggest lap dog ever and takes full advantage of his dashing looks and joyful personality to warm your heart and work his way onto your lap! Oscar is a loving and highly loyal companion who's favorite pasttime is lounging on his owner's lap and getting plenty of attention! Oscar may be shy when he first meets you but this is easy to see once you learn about his past. Oscar lived the first six years of his life wandering around Ashville,NC, never stepping foot in a home and probably having little to do with people. Once he settles down in his new home, his true personality will come out and he will show what a loving, energetic, happy-go-lucky dog he truly is! He is very cautious of men at first but warms up to them eventually if they are calm and gentle. Oscar is a total ladies man! He knows how to work the ladies and how to get plenty of female attention (he gets visits from all the neighborhood women, human and canine, every time he walks by)! He is also very good with kids as long as they are k9 savvy. Oscar is fully potty trained and completely trustworthy in the house! He doesn't chew and isn't destructive so he would love to have free reign during the day. If he needed to stay in a crate, he would only want to do it for maybe a couple of hours because he's a big boy and likes to stretch his legs. He would prefer to be with a more active family who can take him on long walks or runs every day and maybe some play time or day trips with his best friends! As long as he gets the exercise and mental stimulation that he needs, he is an easy going, wonderful dog but he can get pushy if he doesn't get these things but even then he's not destructive! Oscar simply wants to please his owner so he's extremely easy to please as long as you use patience and positive reinforcement! Also, he wants to be near his owner as much as possible which makes him a great dog off leash around the yard because he comes immediately on command and does whatever his owner asks of him as long as he knows that's what makes them happy! Oscar's favorite thing to do when he's inside is to play fetch with himself by throwing the ball across the room and chasing it. He also loves squeeky toys and bones to chew on during the day while his family is gone. He is great with all dogs and loves to play with other dogs. He is most likely not good with cats because he likes to chase squirrels and may confuse the two. Oscar walks very well on the leash and maintains a perfect heel at all times. He is also great in the car and adores long rides with his family! Oscar was previously heartworm positive but has now completed his treatment and is free and clear! Oscar is super clumsy and the most entertaining dog you'll ever meet! You won't even need a TV because it's just as much fun to watch him do his thing! Oscar is an energetic, loving, ball of fun who would love to be your new best friend!
