(1 1/2 years old) Hi there! My name is Charlie and I am looking for my forever home. I used to live with a family including a five year old and a teenager but mom and dad went separate ways and nobody wanted me! I know – it is so hard to believe!
Anyway I am a super, super sweet boy, very gentle and very calm. I know lots of commands including sit, down, give me a paw. I know to sit and wait for the command before going to my food bowl and I NEVER enter or leave the house before the person holding the leash. I get on very well with other dogs, cats and children.
I LOVE going for walks – no really, it is the second best thing in the world – and only occasionally will I pull on my leash. I am fully house trained and will stand at the door and whine if I need to go outside. I am crate trained although at the moment I have free reign of the house all day and night. I never get on the furniture and I only chew on my bones. I ride very well in the car. See I am perfect!
The best thing in the world is playing with my canine buddy and, OK I have to admit it, I guess I am not so calm then. We have a blast chasing each other and stealing soft toys from each other. We have monumental tug of war matches and play fights. I am a little bit more dominant than my canine buddy but we are both so laid back that it is hard to tell. I hope I have a canine friend in my forever home – that would be awesome!
There was a rumor that I was not always so well behaved and people have actually said that I would steal food off the counter or even snatch it from some ones hand. My foster dad says that if this was true - then it’s not true now – go on ask him. Mind you there was that one time that the big saucepan of spaghetti mysteriously went from the cook top to the kitchen floor and all the spaghetti sauce vanished – I told my canine buddy not to do that but he would not listen to me! (Foster Dad - Crime unsolved, two dogs looked fat and VERY happy!).
So what else do you need to know? I'm up to date on all my vaccines, I'm neutered (OUCH!), on monthly heartworm preventative, and micro chipped. All you could ask for in a new baby boy, right? Well, I am really about 1 ½ years old but I still have a lot of puppy left in me so does that count? So, what do you think, can you get me out of here and somewhere I can call my forever home?
