Nala needs a caretaker or foster! Won't you consider helping her get a new start?
NALA ~1-2 years old. Good with kids and dogs. Needs a companion animal. Cats TBD. GSRA adopts to residents of VA, NC, and SC only Nala, also affectionately known as FlufferNuffer, is an adorable little mix that is looking for a new home. Nala and her mother, Lilah, were abandoned during Hurricane Florence, and were picked up by animal control. We are calling Nala a "Honorary Shepherd"! Nala is a super sweet and affectionate girl. She is about 1 year old, and approximately 40 pounds, so she is a nice mid sized dog. Nala is just the happiest little dog you will ever meet, and just prances around wagging her tail. She has a fantastic personality, and adores affection. She loves to be petted and to be close to her people. She has a great smile too! Nala is great with adults, children and dogs. We are not sure about cats, as she has not been tested. She is a very "go with the flow" kind of dog, and does not seem to be phased by anything.....she takes new surroundings and new people in stride. Just a friendly and outgoing dog! Nala has a good amount of energy since she is still very young. She LOVES to play with other dogs, and would be happiest in a household where she has a playful canine companion to spend time with. She loves to play chase and tag with several of the resident dogs. Nala will need a fenced yard so that she will have a safe place to run and play. Nala is crate trained, housebroken, and walks well on a leash. She is also a pretty quiet dog, and rarely barks. She is very polite, and seems to be willing to please. She is food motivated, and thrives on structure. This adorable and unique girl will be a great addition to some lucky family. She will give you lots of love and be devoted to you!
