We have been fostering a beautiful female 3 yr old German Shepherd/Collie mix who was rescued from an ailing/sick man who couldn't take care of her. She had been living outside most of the time, had never been to the vet, and of course was not spayed when we rescued her.
Xena has been with us for a little over a year. We immediately got her up to date on her shots, got her spayed and even had a benign tumor removed from her side. She was about 15lbs overweight, so we've slimmed her down through restricted diet and exercise. She is a sweet doll, that tolerates our cat just fine as a roommate, and our 8 yr old daughter, though she gets a bit shy when things get rowdy or noisy. We have decided that we need to find her a permanent home since we are soon expecting a baby, and we want to simplify our energy output. Xena loves walks and car rides, and is in no way jumpy or rowdy. She is incredibly intelligent, and walks well on a leash and even better without one, using verbal commands. Loves to serve, and would do well with a calm household where she gets lots of loving attention, and walks on a daily basis. PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS NOT A GSRA DOG.
