Lady is a black GSD, 2-3 years old, 68 lbs, that my wife rescued from a busy street. We searched for the owners and learned that she had been abandoned.

She is an very sweet and calm and sweet dog that gets along well with all humans and dogs which she has encountered so far. She reacted well to a cat that we brought to her, but she did not have enough interaction with her for us to draw any conclusions. I do know that she does not lunge for squirrels like my other dog does, so maybe that is a good sign. She walks well on the leash and she walks side by side with our do on walks.

Lady is crate trained, and obedient, but does not seem to know any commands. We have started working on her training.

We had her checked out at the vet and made sure that she got all of her shots since we did not know what her shot history was. We found that she has not yet been spayed and she has a condition known as perineal fistulae which will require medication and extra attention to her diet and hygiene. She could be on the medication (Atopica or Cyclosporine) for as at least 4 months (we just started her on this) but could theoretically be on it her whole life. We have been fostering her for a short time and are just started researching this, so if you are interested I would recommend that you research it as well.

I don't have enough words to describe how sweet a dog she is. I think she will make someone a very good companion. Hopefully someone has the time and the resources to help her with her condition. We would really like for her to go to a good home. Unfortunately we are unable to keep her, as much as we and our dog like her. Our only hope is fostering or adoption, because she would be euthanized in the shelter.

Please contact us if you are interested. Email is best but I can send you my number if needed for a conversation

PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS NOT A GSRA DOG. ONLY CONTACT THIS INDIVIDUAL ABOUT THIS DOG. THE CONTACT HAS NO AFFILIATION WITH GSRA AND GSRA CANNOT ANSWER QUESTIONS ABOUT THIS DOG.
