Foster Diary:
Hi! My name is Imani, I am 3 years old, a Katrina surveyor, and a German Shepherd mix. I am so full of energy I just never sit down. I play with my toys all day and chase my human around. I look just like a miniature German Shepherd, I am really CUTE! My life started out when Katrina hit New Orleans. I was rescued and very quickly adopted by a nice lady from Raleigh. I lived a very pampered life for 3 years. Then my Mommy got transferred to New York and she could not take me with her. I have been sitting in a boarding kennel for many weeks. I was so miserable. No toys, no one to love me, I was so lonely. Then a nice lady came and picked me up put me in her truck and away we went. I had no idea what was going on as very soon we met up with another nice lady. They transferred me to her vehicle and I saw another large German Shepherd in there, oh boy I did not know what was going on. After a while we arrived at our destination. They picked me up crate and all and put me in the house along with all my toys, crate and kennel. This place looked and smelled right. There were dog toys all over the place, bones, peanut butter Kong's it was like a candy store and there was another big dog to play with. I was so happy I ran around like a crazy dog. They fed me wonderful food, played with me, let me sleep on their beds and fed me fresh vegetables, I LOVE asparagus. Happy Days ~ I now have a sister named Jada, she will play with me so I chase her all over the place. I have a fenced back yard and the total run of the house. I am crate trained and sleep in my crate at night by choice. My heeling and sitting is coming along very nice. I love to ride in the car and am very good while riding not crated. I really like it here but I know it is my foster home. I am hoping that someone will want to love me and give me my forever home. OH YES ~ I am a GREAT watch dog, I bark when someone is at the front door! Hugs, Imani
